What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Submit and monitor claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement
- Perform follow-up on outstanding claims and resolve denials
- Post payments and reconcile accounts, including 835 electronic remittance files
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, insurance, and regulatory billing guidelines
- Communicate with payers, facilities, and internal teams to resolve billing discrepancies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong medical billing experience, particularly within skilled nursing, assisted living, direct bill, insurance, and private pay
- Experience with Medicare billing
- Experience with commercial insurance billing
- Experience with private pay billing
- Hands-on experience with Net Health and Waystar
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong understanding of revenue cycle processes
- Experience with claims submission, follow-up, and denial management
- Knowledge of electronic payment/835 formatting
