What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer phone calls in a timely and efficient manner using AIDET customer service techniques
- Schedule appointments as directed by referring providers and confirm appointments
- Maintain patient account information and authorization details in a confidential manner
- Page providers for hospital consults and call backs according to established procedures
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area and lobby, and participate in required meetings and committees
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a receptionist or phone operator
- Experience in medical reception preferred, with cardiology experience being a plus
- Knowledge of healthcare settings and practices
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and providers
- High School Diploma or GED required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with medical scheduling systems and procedures
- Previous experience in a cardiology practice or similar healthcare environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
