What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support pre- and post-award acquisition activities, including drafting solicitations and reviewing statements of work
- Conduct research and analysis of technical and cost/price data for acquisition planning
- Interpret and apply Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Veterans Affairs Acquisition Regulation (VAAR)
- Collaborate with Contracting Officers and technical staff to ensure acquisition milestones are met
- Monitor contractor performance and resolve issues related to payments and contract compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in federal acquisition support, including pre- and post-award activities
- Bachelor's degree in any field or 24 semester hours in relevant disciplines such as business or finance
- Strong understanding of the federal acquisition lifecycle
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or other civilian agencies
- Working knowledge of VA-specific acquisition systems and tools
- Federal Acquisition Certification in Contracting (FAC-C) or DAWIA certification (Level I or higher)
