What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a specialist for Michigan's new and emerging Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs
- Review program applications and coordinate educational data systems (NexSys, GEMS, CTEIS)
- Develop and implement an annual review process to evaluate program effectiveness
- Analyze data trends and promote effective transition strategies for underserved student groups
- Participate in grant reviews and compliance activities for state-approved CTE programs
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any major or at least one year of professional experience in the state of Michigan classified service
- Minimum of four years of professional experience
- Experience in developing or implementing new or innovative CTE or education programs
- Knowledge of managing or coordinating educational data systems
- Experience supporting equity and inclusion for special populations in education or CTE
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- More than five years of experience in evaluating program effectiveness or conducting program reviews
- Experience reviewing or managing grant applications (e.g., Perkins, state-funded grants)
- Proven track record of providing technical assistance or professional development to educators or administrators
- Familiarity with monitoring CTE program compliance or participating in TRAC or Civil Rights reviews
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
