      $10,000 Sign-On Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine
      Harborview Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a ARNP, Nurse Practitioner; or PA-C, Physician Assistant to join our Opioid Treatment Clinic.

      WORK SCHEDULE:
      Part-time, 80% FTE, 32 hours per week
      Days, M-F

      DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
      The program offers medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) to adults with opioid use disorder in primary care medical clinics, mental health and addictions programs, and hospital settings. The program is a funded by
      the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Opioid State Targeted Response (STR) grant that was awarded to Washington State in the effort to better address the current opioid use epidemic.

      PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
      Provide clinical expertise to patients and their families
      Serve as a resource person for health care providers, and participates in research and teaching programs
      Work is performed with general independence and decision-making responsibility under the general guidance of the attending physicians, chief resident, clinical lead APP, and assistant director of APPs
      Guidelines include general policy procedures and practice guidelines established by the department and Harborview Medical Center, as well as appropriate professional and technical manuals
      Work with the Opioid Treatment Team and provide medication assisted treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder.

      REQUIREMENTS:
      Master's Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
      AND Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges
      AND National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
      AND BLS certification

      OR

      Physician Assistant:
      Licensure as a Physician's Assistant in the State of Washington with national certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA).
      Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions.
      AND BLS certification
      Eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the organized medical staff of the hospital under Medical Staff Bylaws for hospital based positions
