What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in the food service production for campus dining events at multiple locations
- Follow oral and written instructions and recipes to prepare meals
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Travel between campus locations for catering activities as required
- Work under the supervision of the Director of Campus Dining and Events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions and recipes
- One year of experience in institutional cooking or a Certificate in Basic Food Preparation
- Understanding and commitment to equal access and equal opportunity
- Commitment to the mission of a comprehensive two-year college
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or a related field
- American Culinary Federation (ACF) Certified or Certifiable as a Certified Culinarian or higher
- ServSafe certified
