What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct contract negotiation discussions on behalf of clients with payers
- Assist in reviewing, interpreting, and maintaining payer contracts and fee schedules
- Support negotiation preparation by compiling rate comparisons and reimbursement trends
- Collaborate with finance and accounts receivable teams to ensure accurate billing
- Participate in payer meetings to support strategic initiatives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2-4 years of medical billing and claims resolution experience
- Strong understanding of payer contracts and healthcare compliance
- Proficiency with Excel, payer portals, and contract management databases
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- AAHAM and/or HFMA certification
- Experience with offshore engagement and collaboration
- Familiarity with commercial and government payers in the US healthcare system
