      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Implement peer support-oriented treatment plan interventions with persons served
      - Provide support, education, and advocacy during service and life transitions
      - Engage persons served in supportive relationships that promote empowerment and self-learning
      - Facilitate peer support groups as needed
      - Draw upon personal experiences with recovery to assist individuals in achieving their goals

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred
      - Must be well along in personal recovery with self-knowledge to support health
      - Experience as a recipient of services for individuals with psychiatric conditions preferred
      - Must obtain or meet certification criteria within six months of hire
      - Valid driver's license and at least 21 years of age with a clean driving record

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with navigating family-serving systems for children or adults with special needs
      - Bilingual/bicultural applicants are preferred
      - Completion of Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery Coach Academy or equivalent training
      - Experience working with children/adolescents/TAY (Transition Age Youth) or adults
