What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Initiate and develop sales while performing customer service calls to build beneficial relationships with agricultural customers
- Work directly with existing and new customers to support their understanding of agronomic, soil, and beneficial use considerations
- Establish a marketing and distribution plan for agriculture markets to enhance financial performance
- Provide logistics and technical guidance for land application programs as needed
- Ensure compliance with fertilizer regulations and assist in developing regulatory strategies for product placement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Required knowledge and experience in the use and recycling of biosolids
- Associate’s degree in Soil Science or Agronomy or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Prior experience in an agricultural environment is favorable
- Sales experience is desired
- Willingness to learn federal, state, and local regulations controlling fertilizer sales and distribution
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification in crop advisory, agronomy, soil science, nutrient management planning, or related disciplines
- Experience with Netsuite is a plus
- Strong background in agricultural or fertilizer product sales
