What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Advance solar and battery storage projects to a construction-ready state by managing approval cycles and timelines
- Drive approvals for utility interconnection, community solar programs, and permitting
- Facilitate preparation and submission of interconnection applications and essential program documentation
- Coordinate with utilities, permitting authorities, property owners, construction teams, and engineers to align expectations and secure necessary approvals
- Assist with initial design and site diligence activities for project development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Relevant solar industry experience in the design and development processes of commercial or utility-scale solar and battery systems
- Graduate of a four-year engineering program or related technical discipline
- Proven ability to manage complex projects simultaneously and coordinate with external partners
- Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Hands-on experience managing applications for utility interconnection and community solar programs
- Expertise in creating or reviewing solar project plan sets for various approval processes
- Financial acumen with project cost estimating or budget management experience
- Field knowledge from conducting site inspections of rooftop commercial solar projects
- Background in construction related to commercial or industrial building projects or EV charging systems
