What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Access and analyze complex data from various sources
- Conduct analyses in Python; interpret, summarize, and present findings to relevant stakeholders
- Perform data-quality checks and troubleshoot issues related to healthcare data
- Communicate analytic advice and statistical methodology to clients and project teams
- Develop and deliver trainings, project updates, and presentations on NHSN work
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and at least nine (9) years of relevant experience in statistics, epidemiology, public health, or a related field; or Master's degree and at least seven (7) years of relevant experience
- Experience using Python for data manipulation and conducting analyses regarding data quality
- Experience managing large datasets and performing quality control
- Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics, mathematics, or a related field
- Experience using SAS or R
- Knowledge of real-world HL7 FHIR resource analysis and mapping
- Experience with EHR-vendor data-model interpretation and healthcare data sets
- Knowledge of electronic health records and clinical-workflow concepts
