      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for inpatient and outpatient services by reviewing medical records documentation
      - Review documentation for accuracy in diagnosis and procedure coding, including modifiers for Evaluation and Management services
      - Respond to requests from Patient Business Services for assistance in correcting claim information and writing appeal letters for denied claims
      - Provide expert advice to administrators, faculty, and staff related to coding regulations and documentation
      - Assist in training other coding staff and provide support coverage as needed

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma or equivalent
      - Current certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), or Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
      - Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience comparable to the Reimbursement Coding Representative level
      - Ability to research complex coding questions and supervise others
      - Must maintain confidentiality of patient health information at all times

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in a healthcare coding environment
      - Strong mathematical skills and the ability to compose reports
      - Familiarity with third-party payer regulations
      - Previous training or mentoring experience in coding practices
