What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct specialist Risk Assessment surveys at complex client locations to identify potential hazards and risk factors
- Document findings and recommendations for Account Executives and clients
- Consult with clients on hazard control strategies to mitigate losses
- Serve as a technical expert resource for Risk Control Consultants and Underwriters
- Maintain effective communication with Technical Director, Field Management, and Risk Control staff
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Minimum of five years of experience in fire science, technical science, engineering, or property fire protection
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to attain necessary certifications to meet state-specific requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 8 or more years of experience in Property/Highly Protected Risk (HPR) skills
- Exceptional technical and interpersonal skills
- Experience in technical training and communication to diverse audiences
- Understanding of insurance products, services, and risk selection practices
- Proficiency in relevant Risk Control computer systems applications
