- Providing direct patient care, observation and management of behavioral health patients.
- Assessment, plan and implement care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes.
- Takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team.
- Manage de-escalation of behavioral disturbances
- One (1) year of RN experience
- Current CA Registered Nurse License
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Previous RN experience in Behavioral Health and/or ED experience
This is a Full Time 8-hour Night shift (64-hours per pay period position) located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego in Hilcrest.

We invite you to join our team of Registered Nurses in the 36-bed Psychiatric Acute Unit where the RNs are responsible for:
We are a tight knit community of staff on Scripps Behavioral Health Inpatient. Our leadership values teamwork, safety, strong work ethic and a positive attitude. Our supervisors are very visible on the unit to help mentor staff and assist them on busy days or when questions arise. Our team is highly multidisciplinary, which only allows the patients to receive the best care possible, with robust daily programming offered to assist them with their recovery and symptom management.
This position is eligible for New Hire Incentives of up to $7k

· In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met :

· · Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.
