What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain HIPAA compliance while working from home
- Speak with consumers over the phone to provide emotional support and resources
- Build rapport and engage clients in meaningful conversations
- Assess risk and document information during calls
- Provide available resources and information to callers
- Identify coping strategies and develop safety plans
- Provide emergency intervention when necessary
- Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate degree in a behavioral health field such as MSW, PsyD, or PhD, or a master's degree with a clinical practice emphasis
- Licensed as a limited or fully licensed social worker or counselor according to state licensing board requirements
- Reside in Maryland and hold licenses such as LCSW-C, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW, or LGPC
- Ability to maintain a distraction-free private office space for remote work
- Excellent communication and listening skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in crisis intervention or counseling services
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and regulations
