What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Lead accident and incident investigations, focusing on lessons learned and preventative action plans
- Develop, implement, and manage safety programs to reduce personal injuries and vehicle accidents
- Perform safety and compliance audits for branches and customer sites
- Coordinate training programs to enhance safety practices and promote safety consciousness
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of five years of safety experience in an industrial and/or distribution setting
- Thorough knowledge of DOT and OSHA rules and regulations
- Understanding of Canadian HSEQ and Transport Canada regulations
- Proficiency in Google Suite
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
- Previous experience with welding-related products
- CSP/CRSP or related safety certifications
