What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead incident response efforts for high-severity and complex security events, acting as the primary technical coordinator
- Perform advanced threat analysis and lead proactive threat hunting initiatives across various environments
- Oversee daily SOC operations, including shift management and quality assurance of investigations
- Develop SOC documentation, including runbooks and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Monitor and analyze security alerts from various security tools, providing remediation guidance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience/training
- Experience managing cases/incidents in a security operations context
- Proficiency in threat management analysis and dissemination
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to think analytically and possess robust creativity and problem-solving skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Technology, or related field
- Information Security Certification (e.g., GSEC, Security+, GIAC)
- Experience with Python or PowerShell scripting
- Familiarity with Azure Sentinel and CrowdStrike
- Strong understanding of networking and cybersecurity concepts
