What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and manage regulatory permitting and environmental compliance for projects in the Central Valley
- Prepare state and federal permit applications and conduct reviews of NEPA and CEQA documents
- Support strategic development and acquisition of regulatory permits and approvals
- Evaluate compensatory mitigation requirements and manage mitigation contracts
- Assist with construction-phase compliance and reporting
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Accredited four (4) year degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field and ten (10) years of relevant work experience
- Experience with regulatory permitting and environmental compliance in California
- Knowledge of major environmental laws including CEQA, NEPA, and the Clean Water Act
- Exceptional analytical, verbal, and writing skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree in biology, environmental science, or a related field
- Experience with large-scale compensatory mitigation planning and procurement
- Experience implementing wildlife connectivity projects
- Familiarity with construction compliance tracking and documentation
- Experience with design-build contracting and construction processes
