What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct short- and long-term planning, program development, policy and program analysis, and program evaluations
- Provide consultation services to CDC staff on establishing program standards, policies, strategies, and evaluation plans
- Collect and interpret data from various sources and prepare recommendations
- Oversee the assembly of adverse drug event case reports and ensure data integrity and quality
- Serve as a subject matter expert and communications resource related to data collection for the NEISS-CADES team
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in public health surveillance, infection prevention, or epidemiology
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based public health environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Demonstrated experience working with the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) or comparable public health surveillance systems
