      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide leadership and guidance for complex economic development and housing projects
      - Oversee systems for managing contracts, grants, and reporting processes
      - Assess and guide real estate transactions that align with city goals
      - Prepare and present materials for Economic Development Authority and City Council meetings
      - Build relationships and coordinate among various city departments and stakeholders

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree in housing, planning, economic development, community development, urban studies, public administration, or a related field
      - Five (5) years of related experience, including two (2) years leading complex real estate development projects in a government setting
      - Valid driver's license
      - Proven ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders
      - Strong written and oral communication skills, with experience presenting to city councils and developers

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience managing complex real estate development processes
      - Knowledge of housing financing programs such as Low Income Housing Tax Credit
      - Familiarity with business financing programs like Minnesota Investment Fund
      - Demonstrated cultural competence in advancing racial equity initiatives
      - Fluency in Spanish, Hmong, Russian, Somali, Lao, or Vietnamese
