What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Support UK-based teams by starting work between 7-8 am EST daily
- Proactively learn about assigned FICO products and their documentation needs
- Collaborate with development teams to define documentation deliverables for each release
- Research, write, and edit a variety of technical documents and guides
- Coordinate the production and handoff of all final deliverables
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BA/BS degree in Technical Writing, English, Computer Science, or a relevant field
- Significant technical writing or software development experience, with writing samples required
- Proven proficiency in English spelling, grammar, punctuation, and composition rules
- Experience writing programming guides, API references, and other technical documentation
- Familiarity with Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming language
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with DITA and content management systems
- Demonstrable experience with XML and HTML
- Familiarity with Git/Github workflows; experience with Bitbucket is a plus
- Experience with Markdown or Docs-as-code
- Experience working in an Agile environment
