What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide hands-on leadership by mentoring and coaching plant staff to ensure a positive work environment
- Lead safety performance initiatives, promoting compliance with safety standards
- Manage shift maintenance activities and resolve equipment breakdowns to maintain plant operations
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness across operations
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and maintain accurate inventory records
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma
- 5-7 years of front-line supervisory experience in production, manufacturing, logistics, or customer service
- Experience with formal safety programs is required
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP and Kronos/UKG is an asset
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to manage performance and attendance matters
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other continuous improvement programs
- Experience with recruitment, hiring, discipline, and termination processes
- Background in production planning and relationship building
- Familiarity with maintenance programs and regulatory environments
- Ability to multitask and work effectively within a team environment
