What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee installation and commissioning of network-based CCTV security systems in a shipboard environment
- Collaborate with OEMs, marine engineers, and industrial assistance for system design and implementation
- Conduct onsite testing of equipment and troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Evaluate shipboard environments and coordinate the installation of applicable equipment and cables
- Ensure compliance with ABS and USCG regulations during installations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a field engineer supporting technical programs
- Experience in installing and maintaining shipboard CCTV systems and/or networks
- Proficiency in IP related services: TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, PPP, and SIP
- Working knowledge of CAT5-5E, CAT6, and Fiber Optic cable and connectors
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Active Secret Clearance (or higher)
- Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, and/or Networking
- Industry Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
- Experience installing and maintaining Cisco routers and switches
- Familiarity with UPS systems and AC/DC power systems installation
