What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop back-end services for the product portfolio using Ruby, Docker, Amazon Web Services, and PostgreSQL
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile framework to design technical systems
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing while documenting software best practices
- Engage in continuous learning and skill development through internal training opportunities
- Mentor junior team members as the organization grows
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Java
- At least 3+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services technologies; ECS/EKS experience is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in Test-driven Development (TDD)
- 5+ years of experience building Restful APIs and consuming third-party APIs
- Proven ability to interpret and refine project goals into relevant requirements and deliver large-scale projects from concept to production
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in mentoring or leading teams
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of additional programming languages or frameworks
- Previous involvement in large-scale system architecture
- Contributions to open-source projects
