      Job Summary:
      The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking an experienced Tester to assist with continued testing of enhancements to the Evergreen system. This work supports the management of the Department's Developmental Disabilities (DD), Neurobehavioral, and Adult Protective Services programs, as well as the phased implementation of functionality from the MeCare legacy system.
      The Tester will plan, construct, and execute manual testing activities, including requirements testing, system testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, and data validation. This role collaborates with project teams to support release control processes and ensure software solutions meet business and program requirements.
      Key Responsibilities:
      • Create test models for product testing and release control, including plans, data, and scripts.
      • Conduct structured walkthroughs and inspections to identify issues and improve quality.
      • Execute assembly and product tests and validate results against defined requirements.
      • Define product test plans and acceptance criteria.
      • Meet time estimates for assigned tasks and follow established quality standards.
      • Track and document testing issues, risks, and action items.
      • Assist in planning, creation, and control of test environments.
      • Coordinate test execution with the Test Team, Application Team, and Project Manager.
      • Assist Test Team Leads in monitoring estimated time-to-complete and actual progress.
      • Work with users to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
      • Schedule structured walkthroughs and inspections to identify and resolve issues.
      • Support release control processes and testing coordination.
      • Develop contingency plans when necessary.
      • Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues to project leadership and management.
      • Assist with planning and execution of component and assembly tests with Application Teams.
      • Participate in post-project reviews and quality assessments.
      • Ensure testing processes and defined quality standards are followed.
      • Assist with managing and directing Test Team tasks and processes.
      • Lead testing efforts and coordinate release control activities as required.
      • Define entry and exit criteria for testing phases.
      • Coordinate development and maintenance of testing standards and procedures.
      • Communicate effectively with customers and technology vendors supporting the State.
      Required Experience:
      • 5+ years of relevant testing experience.
      • Advanced experience with manual web application testing.
      • Experience executing manual sprint cycle functional test scripts and documenting test results.
      • Experience performing manual data migration verification and documenting validation results.
      • Experience developing, reviewing, and executing manual user acceptance testing and regression testing scripts.
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
