What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare PENNDOT highway occupancy permits, including research, writing, drawing, and design calculations
- Research code requirements and conduct research for transportation reports
- Perform traffic counts and courthouse research
- Assist in preparing traffic impact studies
- Prepare construction plans for highway and/or traffic signals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with a transportation/highway/traffic emphasis
- E.I.T. certification
- Course work and/or 0-2 years' experience in traffic signalization, traffic studies and analyses, intersection improvements, parking facilities design, highway design, and roadway safety design
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Working familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation
- Experience with traffic software, such as HCS or Synchro
- Ability to travel to job sites, meetings, and regional offices as necessary
- Legal right to work in the U.S.
