What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage large and complex statewide critical transportation projects, ensuring effective development and delivery
- Collaborate with various departments and agencies, including the Federal Highway Administration, for project coordination
- Develop and maintain guidelines and standards for major project delivery methods
- Mentor and train staff within the office to enhance project management capabilities
- Research and implement best practices for project delivery procedures
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Possession of a bachelor of science degree in engineering
- Minimum of four years of professional experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer
- At least two years of experience equivalent to a Transportation Engineer P11 or one year equivalent to a Transportation Engineer 12 or Transportation Engineer Licensed 12
- Registered professional engineering license as required by the State of Michigan
- Valid driver's license
