What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach 4 courses per semester and 2 courses during the summer session
- Conduct research with undergraduate students throughout the academic year and summer
- Develop and implement engaging course materials and assessments
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for students
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be a professing Christian and active member of a congregation of the Churches of Christ
- Master's degree in chemistry or a related field is required
- Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field is preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching
- Ability to conduct research and engage with undergraduate students
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous teaching experience at the college level
- Strong background in research methodologies within the field of chemistry
- Ability to integrate technology into the classroom for enhanced learning
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment strategies
- Active involvement in community service or outreach programs
