What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule, reschedule, coordinate, and cancel appointments using the hospital system
- Input and update accurate patient information in the system
- Conduct insurance verification and benefit explanations for patients
- Meet, greet, and assist the public, answering telephones in a professional manner
- Demonstrate effective service recovery skills and resolve conflicts positively
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of two (2) years of customer service or healthcare experience
- Basic proficiency with computers, preferably MS Office
- Excellent telephone etiquette skills
- General knowledge of office machines, including printers and scanners
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Call center experience
- Experience in registration, billing, or scheduling in a healthcare environment
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology
