What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prosecute civil commitment cases of sexually violent predators under RCW 71.09
- Conduct courtroom litigation, including discovery practice, depositions, and motion practice
- Handle appellate cases in state and federal courts when necessary
- Collaborate within a collegial team of attorneys, paralegals, and investigators
- Contribute to a supportive work environment dedicated to public service
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school or completion of the WSBA's Rule 6 Law Clerk Program
- Licensed to practice law in Washington State or actively pursuing admission
- Significant courtroom experience or appellate court experience
- Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration in a diverse environment

- Experience clerking in an appellate court
- Demonstrated motivation and organizational skills
- Desire and ability to develop complex litigation skills
- Commitment to public service as evidenced by background and experiences
