What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Factors and related areas in online modalities
- Maintain a standard teaching load of approximately 24 credit hours annually
- Contribute to course development and continuous improvement, integrating emerging topics
- Support program-level initiatives such as assessment and accreditation
- Engage in student support, mentoring, and retention efforts in an online learning environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Ergonomics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Applied Psychology, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated ability to teach or support instruction in human factors-related topics
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage diverse, distributed student populations
- Evidence of applied or practical experience in human factors, human performance, or human-systems integration
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience teaching in online or hybrid modalities
- Professional experience in government, military, aerospace, industry, or applied human factors settings
- Expertise in areas such as human-machine teaming, human-AI interaction, or cognitive engineering
- Experience with curriculum development or program-level contributions
- Engagement with professional organizations or applied research initiatives
