What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Pursue an active research program leading to publication in peer-reviewed journals
- Teach undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice and related fields, both on-campus and online
- Develop specialized courses that contribute to the Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation curriculum
- Provide career and academic advising and mentorship to students
- Participate in campus, community, and professional service activities
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related discipline
- Background or experience necessary to teach courses in at least three specified areas of Criminal Justice
- Established record of publication in scholarly journals or demonstrated potential for future publications
- Ability to teach in both on-campus and asynchronous online formats
- Commitment to maintaining an active research agenda
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous teaching experience as the instructor of record in at least two specified areas
- Mentoring and/or advising experience at the college or university level
- Demonstrated research experience with a focus on undergraduate student participation
