What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop advanced remote sensing data fusion and analytics methods using UAV, CubeSat, and Earth observation satellite data
- Supervise undergraduate research and oversee daily project activities
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual project reports to funding agencies
- Conduct field trips to acquire UAV data from various geographic regions for model testing
- Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at technical conferences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- PhD degree in Geography (remote sensing, photogrammetry, GeoAI), Earth Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Strong publication record and proven ability to conduct relevant research projects
- Familiarity with satellite image processing and photogrammetric techniques
- Proficiency in programming and using deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with photogrammetric and visualization tools (e.g., Agisoft Metashape or Blender)
- Proven ability to work as part of a scientific team and collaborate with external partners
- Experience handling large datasets and implementing deep learning models
