      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Support and lead components of environmental compliance and natural resource permitting projects
      - Work closely with clients and internal project teams to resolve permitting and regulatory challenges
      - Prepare, submit, and manage permit applications and consistency determinations under the California Coastal Act
      - Coordinate with regulatory agencies and evaluate project consistency with Coastal Act policies
      - Mentor junior staff and contribute to team knowledge-sharing

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor’s degree in biology, environmental science, urban planning, or related field
      - Typically, 10+ years of relevant professional experience
      - Demonstrated experience with California coastal permitting and related regulations
      - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of technical reports and regulatory documents
      - Proficiency with Microsoft Office; working knowledge of ArcGIS and AutoCAD preferred

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Master’s degree in a related field
      - Experience with utilities and/or renewable energy projects
      - Ability to manage tasks independently while working within a multidisciplinary team
      - Familiarity with California natural resources and impact assessment
      - Willingness to travel locally as needed
