What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and direct medical coding teams across multiple locations, ensuring achievement of business unit goals
- Train, coach, and evaluate coding staff while developing performance expectations
- Monitor and improve coding quality, productivity, and compliance with regulatory guidelines
- Participate in budget development and ensure fiscal goals are met annually
- Stay updated on new medical technologies and regulatory changes impacting coding practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field
- Active certification as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) for acute care environments
- Minimum of three years of progressive coding leadership experience in a healthcare organization
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
- Proficiency in common office and coding software applications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional related education and/or experience in healthcare coding is preferred
