      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform preventive maintenance, safety inspections, functional testing, and repairs on biomedical equipment
      - Install, configure, and test medical equipment and systems in clinical environments
      - Troubleshoot equipment failures using diagnostic tools and technical manuals
      - Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities in computerized management systems
      - Support medical equipment inventory management and lifecycle sustainment

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Associates or higher degree in biomedical technology, biomedical engineering, electronics, or a related field
      - Completion of a DOD biomedical equipment technician training program or equivalent experience
      - Minimum of 1 year of creditable experience for Level I, 3 years for Level II, and 5 years for Level III positions
      - Understanding of regulatory agency requirements and industry standards
      - Ability to read and interpret technical literature, schematics, and drawings

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or similar
      - Familiarity with networking principles and test equipment setup
      - Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare environment performing medical equipment maintenance
      - Demonstrated competency in operational verification procedures and planned maintenance
