      InfuSystem offers Oncology, Pain Management and Wound Care therapies, including Negative Pressure Wound Therapy. The company’s Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Services are composed of direct payer rentals, pump and consumable sales, and biomedical services and repair, including on-site and depot services. InfuSystem provides the sale, rental, lease and associated supplies, including infusion pumps, nerve blocks for acute pain, nerve block catheters, postoperative pain pumps, central venous catheters, IV pumps, pole-mounted pumps, syringe pumps, enteral pumps, Huber needles, clean room supplies, IV extension tubing, pump tubing, ambulatory pumps, replacement pumps, disposable products, central venous access devices, closed system transfer devices, negative pressure wound therapy vacs, wound vac, and chemotherapy and oncology infusion pumps. Biomedical services include both on-site and depot preventive maintenance, repair and warranty services, ranging from equipment inspections to extensive repairs, including compression device systems, defibrillators, EKG machines, electrosurgical units, external pacemakers, humidifiers, infusion pumps, LCDs, light sources, modules, patient monitors, printers, pulse oximeters, telemetry transmitters and tourniquets – all completed to factory specifications.

      SUMMARY:

      A Case Management Nurse is a Registered Nurse who is more involved in the social work aspect of a patient’s healthcare and not involved in clinical duties. The role of Case Manager is an autonomous and independent position. A nurse placed in this role will not only assist the patient and their families but will also provide an important role to the facilities. As a partner in patient care, the RN coordinates care between the hospital/doctors, home care, and insurance issues, paperwork, infusion pump questions, supply questions, and general information that they may need to deliver the highest standard of care.

      The Case Management nurse will rely heavily on education, management of the patient care, and being a link for the patient between their clinic, insurance agency, and InfuSystem.

      IN THIS ROLE, THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

      • Responsible for handling patient/physician/facility calls as needed
      • Patient care as related to insurance issues, paperwork, and infusion pump questions
      • Responsible for documenting any calls taken

      SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

      No supervisory or management responsibilities

      THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
      • Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in your state of residence
      • Minimum 5 years work experience post-graduation of an accredited school of nursing and a current state Registered Nurse license
      • Minimum of 3 years work experience in case management, discharge planning or nursing management, preferred.
      • Experience and knowledge in basic to intermediate computer skills
      • Ability to quickly assess situations and make accurate decisions
      • Active listening skills are essential
      • Ability to calmly and respectfully respond to common inquiries or complaints from patients and facilities
      • Ability to document calls taken while working
