What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle complex bodily injury liability claims for auto and homeowner insurance
- Conduct coverage and liability investigations, including obtaining statements and required documents
- Negotiate settlements with both represented and non-represented parties
- Collaborate with legal teams and provide peer mentoring
- Document claim files and present claim matters during meetings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Completion of ACG Claim Representative Training Program or equivalent knowledge/experience
- Minimum three years of experience in claim settlements, evidence evaluation, and resolving coverage questions
- Must have a valid State Driver's License and, where required, be eligible for a State Adjuster's license within 90 days of hire
- Advanced knowledge of essential insurance laws, subrogation procedures, and effective communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of CPCU coursework or designation
- Experience with handling simple litigation and subrogation claims
- Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize claim-related functions
- Willingness to travel outside of assigned territory as necessary
