What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Represent the employer as a device specialist during surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and providing technical support
- Manage patients through all phases of the clinical process and educate them on product features and benefits
- Provide clinical support in surgeries, re-programmings, troubleshooting, and follow-ups in hospitals and clinics
- Educate and train physicians and hospital personnel on products and therapies through various teaching sessions and programs
- Maintain relationships with office staff and healthcare providers through regular account visits
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 6 years of clinical or medical sales experience; or an Associate's Degree with a minimum of 4 years; or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy
- Ability to function using healthcare universal precautions to minimize exposure to infectious disease and radiation
- Ability to work efficiently and autonomously with little direction outside of clinical events
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field
- Clinical experience with implantable neurological products and patient care
- Experience in servicing medical personnel on product use
- Understanding of basic reimbursement and the healthcare environment
- Experience with a medical device or pharmaceutical company, especially in specialties like neurology or pain management
