What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review incoming Medical Service Authorizations and paperwork to create or update client accounts
- Correspond with Agency Case Managers via email, State Portal Messaging, and phone calls for necessary information
- Access clinical documentation to obtain authorization for services
- Troubleshoot and resolve account issues as needed
- Coordinate with internal business partners such as Logistics, Customer Care, Billing, and Compliance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate’s degree plus 1 year of data processing experience or 2 years of data processing experience in a fast-paced medical or insurance environment
- 2 years of medical background and 1 year of data processing experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable managing multiple screens and computer equipment
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Knowledge of medical billing terminology
- Experience in medical data processing, coding, or clinical/health information setting
