What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review and audit resident qualification processes and recertifications for compliance with housing programs
- Audit property resident files to ensure adherence to housing program requirements and internal processes
- Prepare and submit timely audit reports based on property file reviews
- Assist in training site staff on compliance-related processes and procedures
- Ensure the accuracy of applicant waiting lists and timely submission of HAP payments
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in affordable housing compliance, focusing on Project Based Section 8 and Tax Credit
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for scheduling, with the ability to travel 60% or more of the workweek
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain processes and procedures clearly
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic math proficiency required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Affordable Housing Compliance Certification: LIHTC / HUD / HOME or Certified Occupancy Specialist
- Proficiency in property management software, preferably OneSite
- Proven ability to work independently while managing pressure and time-sensitive compliance processes
