What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Execute the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process to achieve and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) security authorizations for USCG mission systems
- Conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend corrective actions to ensure continued security compliance
- Monitor security events and incidents, investigate suspicious activity, and take appropriate action to mitigate risks
- Manage security awareness and training programs for Department of Homeland Security personnel
- Collaborate with IT engineering teams and program stakeholders to integrate security controls into system development processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 7 years of direct experience as an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) within the DoD/Federal Government
- Active DoD Secret clearance, required upon hire and must be maintained during employment
- Proficiency in security assessment methodologies, standards, and tools, including DoD RMF and FISMA compliance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this position
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- One or more of the following certifications: CISM, CISSP, GSLC
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Cyber Security or a related Information Technology field
- Previous ISSO experience accrediting aviation platforms
