What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design and implement security architectures for cloud and hybrid environments to meet business needs and HIPAA requirements
- Develop and oversee security controls for cloud platforms including identity management, encryption, and network security
- Own the design and execution of the Disaster Recovery (DR) plan for both cloud and on-premises systems
- Collaborate with third-party colocation providers to ensure compliance with security policies and service level agreements
- Work closely with IT Engineers to optimize security protocols in a healthcare environment
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT security architecture, focusing on cloud security and hybrid environments
- Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure, with relevant certifications preferred
- Strong understanding of network security, encryption, identity management, and incident response
- Proven experience in Disaster Recovery planning and execution
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty or Azure Security Engineer
- Familiarity with compliance and industry regulations (ISO 27001, HITRUST CSF, HIPAA)
- Experience with security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Controls, or Zero Trust Architecture
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams and third-party vendors
