      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Produce and refine high-quality written materials that communicate organizational impact and advance foundation fundraising priorities
      - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with foundation partners to support long-term funding
      - Oversee the full lifecycle of assigned foundation grants, ensuring compliance with funder requirements
      - Manage logistics for Development Advisory Committee meetings and prepare board members for donor meetings
      - Provide operational support to ensure seamless execution of foundation fundraising activities

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Advanced degree in a relevant scientific field; PhD strongly desired
      - Background in science, publishing, or research with the ability to communicate complex scientific concepts
      - Experience in fundraising, grant writing, or development, with a preference for coordinating multi-stage processes
      - Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
      - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with Salesforce or other database systems is a plus

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience producing high-quality, donor-facing written materials with minimal oversight
      - Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to represent the organization effectively in meetings
      - Proven ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders through revision and refinement
      - Familiarity with the scientific research ecosystem and its dynamics
      - Experience in managing donor relationships and engagement strategies
