What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable software releases
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Set up and manage monitoring tools to proactively identify issues and troubleshoot incidents
- Deploy and manage applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines to ensure compliance with organizational standards
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in computer science or a related field
- 4+ years’ experience in software development, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
- Strong proficiency with GitHub, including Packages, Releases, and repository management
- Hands-on experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architecture
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Active VA Public Trust
- Prior experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of Veterans Affairs
- Familiarity with VA Lighthouse tools and infrastructure
- Certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or DevOps-related disciplines
- Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment
