What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop, manage, and maintain the corporate economic capital model (ECM) to assist with strategic decision-making
- Evaluate capital adequacy based on risk profiles and support capital evaluation and stress testing
- Perform optimization analysis of corporate reinsurance programs and recommend purchasing decisions
- Advise senior leaders with reports and presentations on portfolio management and recommend strategies for optimization
- Support the corporate forecasting process to ensure rigorous projections of capital adequacy
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, risk management, finance, mathematics, statistics, or related field
- 8+ years of relevant experience in P&C economic capital modeling
- Strong understanding of corporate forecasting, statutory and GAAP accounting, and capital adequacy evaluation
- Fellow or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS/ACAS) designation or equivalent
- Commitment to continuing education in risk management and modeling best practices
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced degrees in related fields
- Familiarity with MetaRisk or similar capital modeling software
- Experience in risk quantification, financial modeling, and regulatory stress testing
