What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and provide educational and competency activities for pharmacy personnel
- Assist with onboarding, orientation, and training of new hires in the pharmacy department
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions and competency assessments for healthcare professionals
- Serve as a lead technician for training on pharmacy EHR and automation systems
- Evaluate technician education processes and develop educational programs and curricula
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalency required
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a community or hospital pharmacy technician
- At least 1 year of professional education experience with knowledge of adult learning principles
- Registration with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy upon hire
- National certification as a pharmacy technician
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Registration with the Indiana Board of Pharmacy within 6 months of hire
- Strong background in pharmacy practice standards and competency assessment
- Experience in developing and coordinating educational initiatives in a healthcare setting
- Active participation in pharmacy-related committees or organizations
