What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct yield trials including planning, planting, note-taking, and harvest
- Evaluate and secure quality yield trial land
- Serve as an expert on yield trialing processes and protocols
- Supervise third-party contract labor for trial activities
- Operate tractors and research combines for data collection
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree in an agriculture-related discipline or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years of post-academic experience
- Knowledge of precision agriculture equipment and software systems
- Understanding of corn and soy crops and trial data precision
- CDL Class A with Airbrakes, Pesticide Applicators License, and ability to acquire a DOT medical card
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Understanding of plant genetics and breeding
- Drone experience or ability to acquire a drone license
