      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Serve as a liaison and information resource for investigators and research personnel regarding federal requirements and policies for human research approval
      - Attend IRB meetings to conduct initial and continuing reviews of research involving human subjects
      - Compose and document minutes of IRB meetings, detailing actions taken and discussions held
      - Review human research protocol submissions for compliance with applicable regulations and institutional policies
      - Collaborate with the research community to provide guidance on IRB policies and procedures

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred
      - Certified IRB professional (CIP) credential in good standing or must pass certification exam within the first 90 days of employment
      - At least 3-5 years of related research or regulatory affairs experience required
      - Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing human-subjects research preferred
      - Availability to occasionally work until 6 PM or 7 PM ET on Tuesday/Wednesday nights to lead IRB meetings

      - Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures related to human subjects research
      - Participation in regional and national conferences and educational events related to research or regulatory affairs
      - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams
