What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Build relationships with leading AI researchers to position Protege as a trusted source for AI data research and expertise
- Create a trusted ecosystem for ongoing conversations and advancements in AI data through various community-building methods
- Identify gaps in Protege’s data offerings based on researcher priorities and provide insights to the partnerships team
- Establish Protege’s presence in the research community and enhance the reputation of the Protege Data Lab
- Design and launch an academic advisory board to guide product development and strengthen Protege's leadership in AI data research
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree with industry experience in a quantitative field such as economics, statistics, computer science, or data science
- Deep engagement in the AI research community with the ability to understand and communicate in the researcher language
- Hands-on experience building expert technical communities through both in-person and online channels
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and drive solutions in complex environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and creative mindset
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Published authorship in research and/or academic publications
- Advanced degree in applied mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related fields
- Experience designing and building technical communities centered around subject matter expertise
- Familiarity with data applications in AI model training and evaluation
- Creative and insightful thinking about large-scale data challenges
